Please use the "Contribute" link above. I am gay and I am a cell biologist. My lab is interested in the cellular and molecular mechanisms driving human disease, in particular neurodegenerative diseases. We use cell biology and biochemistry to understand the mechanisms by which these molecular players control disease processes.

This also teaches us about normal cell biology, and I am particularly interested in how cells deal with stress, and how cell biology is rewired and adapted in different cell types. I am queer and I am a chemist. Analyzing NMR data that I had collected, it thrilled me that through these experiments, I had taken a colorless vial of molecules, each one many times smaller Tres piedras nm single gay men my eye could detect, and now I could "see" them, probe their structures, and infer Tres piedras nm single gay men they might behave.

It felt like magic. I spent the rest of my undergraduate career characterizing nucleic acids by NMR spectroscopy. Now I work for a biopharmaceutical company, where I characterize biotherapeutics, like monoclonal antibodies and vaccines, primarily by mass spectrometry.

Probing the structures of chemical and biological molecules to gain functional insight is my passion. It's never stopped feeling like magic, and now I get to do it every day. I am queer, non-binary, trans and I am a veterinarian.

A lack of role models and a fear of not being taken seriously were deterrents for a long time, but the trans visibility provided by social media finally sank in and allowed me to imagine myself in this type of public-facing professional role. The vast majority of clients and coworkers have been wonderful, and all pets are allies. I feel very lucky.

I am queer, lesbian and I am a biology PhD student. Leks are places where males group together to perform elaborate displays. For lekking species, few Tres piedras nm single gay men reproduce and no males contribute to parental care. Prior to my doctoral research, I did my MSc. Curiosity about the evolution, function, and strong sexual selection of leks continues to drive my research. Now I apply this interest to the conservation of the imperiled lesser prairie-chicken and try my best to straddle evolutionary and applied biology.

When I am not out conducting fieldwork, I participate in science outreach and queer advocacy. I am gay and I am a PhD student in synthetic biology. I have a background in Biotech Engineering, so when I first learned about Synthetic Biology I was mesmerized with the idea of using engineering principles to tinker with biology.

Here's a look at some...

I am fascinated by how biology can be engineered to ameliorate many of nowadays problems. Hence my decision to do a PhD in it.

I currently work in developing cloning tools to enable a fast and cost effective DNA assembly for an uncommon microorganism, that can survive toxic environments enriched with metals.

I am gay and I am a senior lecturer in human genomics. I then moved on to my first post-doc in human genetics and have remained in the field ever since. I worked at Imperial until on the genetics of common disease, mainly obesity. My main focus is teaching now, both undergraduate and postgraduate.

I have been with my current partner since and we live out in Kent where we seem to spend most of our time walking the dog. I am bi and I am a Tres piedras nm single gay men educator, animal trainer, and artist.

As someone who was impacted by David Attenborough I never expected I could be doing the same for kids of color and all kids in general on the ground. But here I am: I am queer I am a lab manager at a small liberal arts Tres piedras nm single gay men. I am happy to now be part of a campus culture that encourages employees to bring our identities to the work we do.

I am fortunate to work with an amazing group of students of multiple identities and expressions who push boundaries and challenge the stereotypes of "what a scientist looks like". I am queer and I am a PhD student. My research is looking into cardiovascular disease in older people and specifically heart valve disease.

Aortic Stenosis AS is one of the most common heart valve disorders globally and numbers are forecast to increase alongside aging populations. Newer treatment options for minimally invasive surgery have emerged over the last decade to treat this condition, which means Tres piedras nm single gay men more older patients are undergoing procedures.

Abstract. While a number of...

Whilst these contemporary minimally invasive procedures provide prognostic benefit for higher surgical-risk patients with severe aortic stenosis ASfar less is understood about the impact to important patient outcomes - such as physical health and quality of life.

Hopefully my work will attempt to understand the outcomes and expectations of older people deciding to undergo treatment for heart valve problems and how as a nurse we can provide more evidence-based care and support for patients and their families.

Truthfully though - I am having a blast engaging older people in my research and hearing their stories! Surprisingly we both openly discuss our lives and giggle at adventures we have both taken and may embark upon.

I am Tres piedras nm single gay men and I am a PhD student in robotics.

My research is all about understanding and controlling physical human-robot interactions using physiological data from the user, and use it as an input to the robot controller. This way we can have safe and adaptive robots that know when the operator feels threatened, uncomfortable, disengaged or surprised.

I love seeing my math and software getting real in terms of robot behaviour. My ultimate goal is to help people through assistive robotics. I am a lesbian and I am a chemistry professor and motivational science speaker. I am a full-time Chemistry Professor at Florida Southwestern State College and am a well known science outreach presenter.

My focus in teaching science has always been to motivate students to investigate their world through experimentation. I presented a blend of smart and entertaining science concepts which include hands-on activities for kids of all ages.

Every segment featured teaching a show host how to do science activities. These science segments provided kids with fun activities and the confidence to investigate science at home or in school.

I also presents hands-on science at area schools and organizations through classroom and school assemblies. Through my science outreach I try to educate and model acceptance and inclusion as a lesbian in a STEM career. I am a lesbian and I am a PhD student.

My main research interests are insect diversity and evolution. Specifically, I use the DNA of Australian giant burrowing cockroaches to construct family trees phylogenies and figure out what they can tell us about how evolution operates. I also work on the evolution of the genomes of symbiotic bacteria that live inside cockroaches. In the past few years it's been found these roaches have evolved behaviour and body types associated with a burrowing lifestyle multiple times independently of one another, which goes against a basic assumption in evolutionary biology that lineages diverge and diversify over time.

The fact that these forms have arisen over and over suggests to scientists that evolutionary processes, at least in this group, might be more predictable than was once thought! It turns out there's a strong association between ancient aridification events in Australia - the drying out of the continent - and the parallel evolution of burrowing behaviour.

Crucially, teasing apart how temperature and aridification have affected animals in the past can inform our understanding of how they might respond to future events, particularly in the face of human-driven climate Tres piedras nm single gay men. I am gay and I am a behavioural and evolutionary ecologist. I was born in Singapore and migrated to Australia when I was six years old. Given my childhood interests, becoming a Tres piedras nm single gay men seemed like an obvious career choice.
